About Host

I have been working in the kitchen as a chef for many years in Japan and abroad. While I was living in New York City, not only I enjoyed eating all different kinds of ethnic food, but also learned some world cuisine by working in a few popular restaurants.

Now I enjoy teaching making sushi rolls to foreign guests who are interested in making it from scratch.

This class is derived from my fond memory of holding “roll your own sushi” parties in NYC.
When you visit Tokyo, you are invited to my home for this class to learn how to make sushi from scratch including making sushi rice and sushi vinegar, and bring back that memory to your home country to share it with your friends and families.

I will teach you all the steps by hands-on instructions – how to prepare the fillings and and how to roll sushi.

If you are a vegetarian or vegan tell me when you book the class please.
After making the sushi, we will enjoy it with miso soup and some sake if you like.
